01 / Choose your flour

Begin with what you want to make.

Different recipes need different flour performance. Use these categories to frame an enquiry; the grade, origin and availability are confirmed in the offer.

01

Bread & bakery flour

Discuss dough strength, mixing tolerance, water absorption and the intended fermentation process. Confirm performance with a baking trial.

02

All-purpose flour

For a range of everyday recipes. Agree the target performance rather than assuming every all-purpose flour is identical.

03

Cake, biscuit & pastry applications

Tenderness and spread may matter more than strong bread structure. Compare an application-specific sample with your current recipe.

04

Whole-wheat flour

Includes the bran, germ and endosperm. Discuss extraction, particle size, flavour and storage life for the actual product.

King Arthur Baking · Flour and baking performance

Protein matters, but it is not the whole specification. Wheat blend, milling, starch damage and the recipe also affect the result. Do not copy a protein number from another brand and treat it as an agreed Maqboola specification.
02 / Packaging

Paper for retail. Strong sacks for volume.

One consistent identity in Arabic and English, with practical materials, closures and outer packing.

01

1 kg · Supermarket packs

Compact block-bottom paper packs with folded, secured tops. Confirm food-contact suitability and transport protection.

02

5 & 10 kg · Larger paper packs

Reinforced multiwall paper bags, sized for the filled product. Material strength and closure must suit the weight and handling route.

03

50 kg · Wholesale sacks

Closed woven polypropylene sacks, with suitable lining or lamination where agreed. Specify seam strength, sift resistance and net weight.

Paper flour packs checked on a packing line and grouped in a shipping carton

Retail packs travel in suitable outer cartons or agreed protective bundles. Large sacks are handled as closed units; the flour stays protected.

03 / Inside the mill

Understand the process behind the powder.

A controlled milling route turns wheat into flour with the required characteristics.

Roller milling equipment and a technician checking a flour sample

Cleaning. Conditioning. Milling. Sifting.

Wheat is cleaned and conditioned before milling. Roller mills and sifters work in stages to separate and reduce the grain fractions; flour streams are selected or blended to the required specification.

01

Receiving

Identify wheat lots and check incoming condition.

02

Cleaning & tempering

Remove foreign material and condition the grain.

03

Milling & sifting

Reduce and separate the grain through repeated stages.

04

Blending & checks

Assess the flour against the agreed application.

05

Weighing & packing

Check weight, closure and batch identification.

04 / Storage & shipping

Protected in storage. Prepared for the journey.

Packaging only works when storage and handling support it.

Closed 50 kg flour sacks stacked on warehouse pallets

Dry storage, clear lots.

Keep sacks off the floor, away from moisture and strong odours. Maintain inspection aisles, identify lots and rotate stock by the agreed expiry system. Check for damage and infestation before dispatch.

Palletised flour is a secured stack of closed sacks, not a compressed bale. Stack height and pattern depend on bag strength, pallet capacity and handling conditions.

A secured flour pallet moved into a dry container at a loading dock

Load the shipment, not a product display.

Agree floor loading or pallets, inspect the container and plan weight distribution. Use suitable restraint and protection without trapping unwanted moisture. Record quantities, lot references and the seal.

Small retail paper packs remain inside their transport packaging. Container tonnage is confirmed from the actual load plan and transport limits.

05 / Quality

Put the important details in writing.

Agree limits, methods and the reference sample before comparing quotations.

Dough performanceWater absorption, mixing tolerance and relevant rheological tests, where required.
Fineness & appearanceParticle size, colour, odour and freedom from foreign matter.
Ingredients & labelWheat/allergen declaration, any additives or fortification, and destination-compliant information.
Safety & shelf lifeApplicable microbiological and contaminant requirements; shelf life validated for the actual product and packaging.

06 / Your enquiry

A clear brief makes a better quotation.

01

Tell us the application

Your finished product, current specification and required baking performance.

02

Choose quantity & pack

1, 5 or 10 kg paper packs, or 50 kg sacks; Arabic/English artwork and outer packing requirements.

03

Confirm the destination

Port or delivery address, timing, documents and commercial terms. Origin and availability are confirmed with the offer.

Can all-purpose flour replace bread flour?

Not without checking the recipe and performance. Run a comparable baking trial before changing a production flour.

Does whiter flour always mean better flour?

No. Suitability depends on the application and specification. Colour alone cannot describe dough performance or safety.

Can I use one shelf life for every pack?

Use the validated life for the product, packaging and storage conditions. Confirm it with the supplier rather than assuming a universal period.
